Word of the Day: "Oh la la!" is a phrase you hear all the time in France. It is used when a speaker is surprised or moved by something he or she sees or hears. In this sense it means something like "Oh my goodness!" or "Wow!" So, for example, when we told the students at the Collège Internationale de Valbonne that we had biked almost the entire Mediterranean, one of them exclaimed "Ah! Oh la la!" click to hear an audio clip in amazement.
